Michele Andolfo, born in Lausanne 41 years ago, of Sicilians origins and Milanese of adoption, landscapist and artist bonsai known by the great public bonsaian, for the methodology typically artistic, that adopts in the realization of his works, based mainly on the study and the graphic planning.    

After a first amateur period spent to discover the techniques of the bonsai art as autodidactic, decides to draw near to the Bonsai Club Martesana (of which is the actual president) and to participate in his first course.  In the following four years it deepens his knowledge participating in courses and workshops with the most greater European experts, developing the bonsai activity and landscape in a specialized nursery to the doors in Milan.  

Here begins to hold the first for beginners and to didactically follow the member of the Bonsai Club Martesana.                                  In 1996 enters to belong to the National College Instructor of the Bonsai and of the Suiseki (IBS), and it begins to hold more and more in assiduous way lessons and demonstrations in Club and National Demonstrations.    

The following year participates to a tour study in Japan where I knew and to worked with the most greater exponents of the bonsai world. 

In the following years the most greater part of his jobs are published on the most authoritative magazines of the sector, first in Italy then in some European countries until, in the last years, in America, Canada, Taiwan and Japan.    

In 1999 publishes, with the friend A. Ricchiari, the summary of his didactic activity with the book "Bonsai culture, aesthetics and project", on the aesthetics and the planning applied to the Bonsai and four years later "BONSAI-COURSE FOR BEGINNERS" guide realized for facilitating the approach to the bonsai to the less experts and his children. The didactic appointment to international level and his presence as guest in the most important International Congresses are worth him, in the same year the prestigious International prize "BCI's Artist, Writer, Photografer Award" the following year becomes International Instructor BCI and two years he was given the National Primo Premio IBS "writing of bonsai" reserved to the National Instructors. 

His jobs have been published on books of European bonsai, Chinese and Americans and have received important prizes and recognitions among which First Prizes and mention UBI and the Prize "Kaneko Memory", mention of merit of the European Bonsai Assotiation, Prince Prize of Monaco and President Prize UBI.  

In 2001 it is one of the three official representatives to the World Congress "4°WBCM" to Monaco, where he exposes his jobs and holds some workshops.  In the same year it starts a new didactic project founding the Andolfo Bonsai Studio school, planning annual courses, seminars of technique and following groups of study in Italy and to the foreign countries. 

During the National Congress 2004 UBI/EBA its School is officially recognized by the UBI for the profuse didactic appointment on the whole Italian  territory.     In these years some of his students are distinguished in National and International exhibition, they participate in contests with good results and one of them is recognized by the IBS National Instructor.  

In the last two years he is invited in Canada to hold demonstration and to follow some groups of study on topic about the aesthetics and the sketch applied to the bonsai.    

His associative appointment sees him Adviser UBI (Union Bonsaisti Italiani) from seven years, of which three from vice-president and representative for the foreign countries, Secretary of the IBS (National College Bonsai and Suiseki) from 1997 and President of the Bonsai Club Martesana.
